Form guide

How to do a Calf Raise

The calf raise builds the calves by rising onto the balls of your feet against resistance. The key is a full stretch at the bottom and a full peak contraction at the top, with a pause. CalmArms grades range and tempo and counts each rep automatically.

Watch out for

  • Skipping the bottom stretch or the top pause.

  • Bending the knees to bounce on standing variations.

  • Uneven push between the two legs.
